Ahh those were the days, the good old days.

Out with the new, in with the old

Sources: Kelly Carpenter, my own, in a fraction of a second, art pixie.

I often ask myself, what ever happened to writing a letter, paying for a 50c stamp and posting it to your friend, relo or lover?xx

These days chatting means on IM, surfing means on the WEB and jogging is done on machines surrounded by walls and energy filled drinks.

This year, after I had received lovely birthday prezzies from my friends, rather than facebook them, I decided to write them all personal love letters to express my gratitude and thanks. They were all surprised and loved the gesture.

These are a bunch of pictures that remind me of the Good Old Days, there’s a few scattered through of my pop, the photographs I love.
I love times when nan's and pop's lean back, stretch, sigh and say "ahh those were the days" and then embark on telling you their childhood stories.

Speaking of old, a couple of weeks ago I was driving through the main street of my suburb where a few op shops are situated. I always look in the windows as I go past just to check if there is anything new and exciting. Well on this particular day MY old dress was in the front window, of not only one but two different op shops!
The dresses I had loved and worn when I was 12 was now in the op shops windows!
How do you know they were yours? You may ask.
My mother had made them for me :)
This was very exciting.

Anyhooo, Have a fabulous weekend everybody, and think about posting you best friend, a long lost relative, or even a secret admirer a letter. If you don’t know their address, there is this thing called the phone book, you get one for free :)

Much love

love this set of pics! such a nostalgic and lovely feeling to them. I agree with your sentiment completely 0- there's never a bad time to tell someone you love them.

Those freaky universal moments remind me there is so much more going on out there than we realise. Loved this set...stealing the black and white with the guy in front of the Ford. If any image credit let me know, about to post :)
